Unlike many other species juvenile Osprey, Pandion haliaetus, remain on the nest after fledging. Their parents train them in hunting. This family is on a platform in the marsh at Cape May, New Jersey. I observed them on a Salt Marsh Safari aboard the Skimmer. Ospreys occur across most of North America except the far North. They nest near large bodies of water and on the coasts and feed on fish.
